Terms of Service

Last updated 20 August 2026

These terms cover your use of Bar Signal, operated by Efflictim Ltd. By creating an account, you agree to them. Questions go to hello@barsignal.co.uk.

Early access

Bar Signal is in early access. Features, pricing, and availability may change as the product develops, and we'll do our best to give existing users notice of anything significant.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for the accuracy of the details you give us. One account per person or business — don't share logins.

Acceptable use

Use Bar Signal to research and pitch new premises for your own business — don't scrape, bulk export, or resell the notice data wholesale to third parties, and don't use it to harass licence applicants. We may suspend accounts that misuse the service.

Accuracy of licence data

Notice data is sourced from public council licensing registers, the Gazette, and the Companies House register. We work to keep it accurate and timely, but these are third-party public sources we don't control — always confirm details against the original council or Companies House record before relying on them for anything material, like signing a contract.

Fees

Bar Signal is currently free to use during early access, with no card required. If we introduce paid plans, we'll update these terms and give existing users clear notice before anything changes for them.

Ending your account

You can stop using Bar Signal and ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing hello@barsignal.co.uk. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.

Liability

Bar Signal is provided as a research and lead-discovery aid. We're not liable for business decisions made on the basis of the data shown, or for interruptions to the service, to the extent permitted by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and let account holders know by email.
